This delightful self-catering property has two twin-bedded rooms with ample storage facilities in each, sleeping up to 5. The spacious lounge is fully furnished with TV and DVD, with a lovely view out to the garden. The modern dining kitchen is fully equipped and thebathroom has a shower over the bath.

All bedding, towels, gas, electricity and unlimited high speed  wifi are provided free of charge.

The property is ideal for families with a cot, bedding and a high chair provided for young children.

The large south-facing private garden is fully enclosed so ideal for children. The garden has two areas of lawn, a seating area and a furnished patio area.

There is ample storage for golf clubs, bicycles, prams etc.


Violets is situated in the town centre of Montrose, a coastal resort town 30 miles north of Dundee and 40 miles south of Aberdeen, between the mouths of the North and South Esk Rivers. It is within walking distance of the train station, beach, golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pool, shops, bowling green and parks.

The town has a view of a two square mile tidal lagoon, Montrose Basin, which is considered a nature reserve of international importance.

Montrose boasts the fifth oldest golf course in the world, with records showing that golf has been played here since 1562. The course is regularly used as a final qualifying course for the British Open. The golf courses are a few minutes away from the property and reduced rates can be arranged for our guests.

Montrose is also close to Carnoustie and St Andrews for those wishing to visit these historic golfing towns.

Montrose also has one of Scotland’s most extensive golden beaches and the Seafront Splash play area is a great place for a family day out.

Just outside the town is the 18th century House of Dun, designed by the Scottish architect William Adam and built in 1730. Glamis Castle and the Angus Glens are also a short drive away.
